SOLUTION OF THIS QUESTION:-
Look at the image...i have drawn the figure according to data given on the question.
Lets learn how to draw the figure.First draw a figure showing all the directions such as
north,east,south and west in clockwise direction.,Assume that Prabir started from point O. After that according to question Prabir walked 7kms towards west, so OA=7km.After that he turned right and walked 10kms ,so AB=10km.Then he took left turn and walked 5kms,so BC=5km.After that he again turned left and walked 15 kms. so CE=15km.Finally he reach to point E, So we have to find the distance between point O and point E that means OE=?
According to Pythagoras Theorem,
OE2= OD2+DE2
OD=OA+AD=OA+BC=7+5=12km
DE=CE-CD=15-10=5km
OE2= OD2+DE2

OE2= OD2+DE2
= 122+52
= 144+25
= 169
OE = SQUARE ROOT OF 169=13Kms
so now Prabir is 13kms away from the starting point.
